Etna Wine Roads by E-Bike with Wine Tasting: itinerary, stages and GPX tracks
First the landscape, then the glass: this Etna e-bike and wine-tasting tour invites you to discover the connection between volcanic soil and the people who cultivate it. Spend a day riding between Milo and Sant’Alfio, along roads linking villages, woodland and countryside on the eastern slopes, with a winery visit and a tasting of Etna wines accompanied by local specialities.
The ride passes through Milo, a village with a strong wine culture and views over the Ionian landscape, then continues towards the Hundred Horse Chestnut Tree. In Sant’Alfio, discover another side of life on Etna, shaped by farming traditions and memories of the grape harvest. Stops along the way offer time to take in the landscape before hearing its story at the winery.
The itinerary follows a single route of approximately 19 km, mostly on asphalt, starting and finishing in the same area south of Milo. E-bike assistance helps on the climbs, although the approximately 473 m of ascent still make for an active ride. This is a day dedicated to Etna’s landscapes and flavours, with a pace suited to the planned stops.
The winery visit completes the experience: after riding through the area, discover its wines and local products through the story of your hosts. It is an opportunity to explore the volcano’s eastern slopes at the pace of a bicycle and look beyond the wine label.
