What We Do
Biking Sicily was born from more than twelve years of experience in the travel industry, with the aim of broadening the tourism offer in Sicily through mountain bike and e-bike excursions that let visitors fully enjoy the natural beauty of Mount Etna and the Sicilian landscape. We welcome many kinds of travellers: cycling enthusiasts, families with children and experienced riders who, whether on nature itineraries, city tours or tailor-made routes, can admire untouched corners of the island and discover its architectural history.
Pedal after pedal, you will discover the late-Baroque style of cities such as Catania and Palermo, whose grand squares, majestic churches and lush gardens embody the true essence of Sicily. You can explore centres such as Syracuse, whose thousand-year history dates back to 733 BC, Ragusa, one of the richest stops in cultural and scenic terms, and Modica. Far from mass tourism, our guests come to know local traditions first-hand and become an active part of the experience. Immersed in greenery, they can appreciate the most striking views of Sicily's finest villages while encountering the culture, the civilisation and the gastronomic excellence of the region.
Biking Sicily will let you discover a truly unique territory from the saddle of one of the many bikes you can rent, MTB or Gravel, while offering a wide range of services: luggage storage and transport; daily excursions departing from Rifugio Sapienza, on the southern slope of Etna at 1,910 metres above sea level; a shuttle service with trailer for those who already own a bike; and rental of muscular or pedal-assist bicycles for one or more days, available at our premises or delivered directly to the address of your hotel.
